Methodology

A trip's total is the amounts its artists enter — accommodation, food, local transport, travel and other — each marked shared or per person, plus fees a selected workspace offer states as a fixed amount. Percentage fees are shown, never turned into money. Nothing is estimated for you: before anyone enters an amount the trip shows “Add trip costs”, not a total.

Four separate evidence levels, never summed: verified current primary bases, unverified self-declared primary bases, official aggregates, and studio-declared team sizes. Primary bases must be current within 12 months. Platform and declared counts below 5 show no number; 5–49 use ranges 5–9, 10–19 and 20–49; 50 or more are rounded to 10. Official published aggregates retain their exact figure, source date and geography; they are not a count of unique city professionals. Public studio pages and event lineups are not used to count people. Presence is not demand, work availability or earnings.

Only verified professionals with aggregate consent are counted, once per city and calendar month, from the current month through six months ahead. Zero is INSUFFICIENT; 1–4 show FEWER_THAN_5 without a number; other values round to 5. A changed rounded value must persist for two calculations before publication. No status breakdown or public history is exposed. Personal expense trips are excluded. These self-selected plans indicate presence, not availability, bookings or earnings.

Self-reported workspace search outcomes from verified professionals, at most one report per person, city and calendar month. The current rolling 90-day window requires at least 10 reports; below that, all displayed counts are withheld. At the threshold, the three outcome counts and their sum are exact, published in weekly batches. Self-selection bias is unavoidable: only people who searched and chose to report participate. This is not an objective market measurement, city score, success ratio or city comparison.

Archived. City expense ranges (including the 2026 government per-diem reference rates) are no longer shown or added to any trip; the rows and their sources are kept for reference.

Expense-only estimates use non-negative minimum and maximum amounts in currency minor units, with a category, unit, source date and methodology version. They are estimates, not quotes or guaranteed prices. Trip items preserve the source title, dates and prices as snapshots when added; later source changes do not rewrite those snapshots. Exchange rates are dated display conversions, not guaranteed transaction rates. No income or break-even estimate is produced.
